Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid that is found in high concentrations in certain strains of hemp. Cannabidiol can interact with the human endocannabinoid system and has non-intoxicating effects.
Our Full-Spectrum CBD is produced via the simplest of extraction processes without chemicals or flammable solvents. We carefully control our process to maintain and preserve the full suite of naturally occurring phytocannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes in the hemp plant in addition to CBD. The THC in our full-spectrum products will always be below the federally mandated limit of less than 0.3% by dry weight.
Broad-Spectrum CBD removes some of the helpful phytocannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes in the hemp plant. This can potentially lower the benefits of using CBD.

No, hemp oil is extracted solely from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant while CBD oil is extracted from the plant’s flowers, stalk, stems, and leaves. While hemp seed oil may contain nutrients and antioxidants, such as omega-3 and omega-6 acids and vitamins E, B2, and B6, cannabidiol quantities are rarely detectable. CBD hemp oil, however, contains high concentrations of cannabidiol as well as additional phytocannabinoids and terpenes.
All Holy City Farms Full-Spectrum CBD products contain the specified amount of cannabinoids (CBD), which means it is CBD oil.
Hemp oil or hemp extract, is sometimes used in place of CBD oil and can cause a lot of confusion. To ensure that you are purchasing a product that is actually high in CBD, look for third-party test results for the product. Holy City Farms quality begins the moment a plant is seeded and continues through the sale of our products. We intentionally select the finest hemp genetics to generate a robust profile of cannabinoids, terpenes, and nutrients in each plant. Superior hemp genetics, paired with a commitment to grow in an ecologically sound manner, allow us to maintain a sustainable hemp lifecycle.
Our team tenderly cares for each plant throughout the entire cultivation process.
Once our hand-selected plants have finished curing, cannabinoids, terpenes, nutrients, and proteins are carefully extracted using heat to slowly, and gently, draw out the cannabinoids.
We owe it to you, our loyal customers, to hold ourselves to the highest standard possible, which is why we test our product at every stage of our value chain. Thanks to our internal cannabinoid testing lab, we have the unique ability to test our flower, extracts, and formulations several times for accuracy and consistency. In other words, you’re getting exactly what’s on your label.
Absolutely! We are proud to say that 100% of our hemp is grown right here on our own farm in beautiful Wadmalaw Island, which is near Charleston, SC, also known as the “Holy City.”
Through our proprietary method of gentle thermal extraction, we are able to create a true full-spectrum oil that preserves the flowers’ full cannabinoid and terpene profile. We use dry-sift, which is the bulbous, crystal formation on the tip of the glands in the hemp flower or trichome, to extract the strongest concentrations of terpenes and cannabinoids from our premium hemp flower.
By using only dry-sift in our gentle thermal extraction process, we are able to collect the purest and cleanest trichomes from the hemp flower.
While technically a greenhouse, our facility is not like most others. First, it is a Dutch-style build with 18′ sidewalls. Also, it is truly automated (not just wall timers) wherever possible to give the plants their ideal levels of light, air temperature, humidity, ambient CO2, root zone O2, and growth phase-specific nutrition via fertigation. Given that we have the added benefit of sunlight, our environment has what most indoor facilities are simply hoping to recreate. Post-harvest, we gently run all flower through our GreenBroz trimmer and finish with a hand manicure before going to cure. Better than indoor? Well, at the least our greenhouse does have doors. Doesn’t that count? You be the judge!
Due to the wide range of uses for CBD, appropriate serving sizes can vary widely. Your serving size will be dependent upon your body weight, metabolism, individual body chemistry, and other metabolic factors.
We cannot make specific recommendations regarding serving sizes. We recommend starting with a small amount of CBD, and gradually increasing the serving until the desired effects are achieved.

While our products do not require refrigeration, we recommend storing your CBD oils and topicals in a cool dry place, similar to how you would store honey. Make sure to shake well before each use. With proper storage, our CBD products can maintain their full “shelf-life” of 12-18 months.
Our CBD oil in its purest form commonly has a robust grassy, nutty, or earthy flavor, which comes from the organic compounds that make up the hemp plant from which the oil is derived. These compounds include cannabinoids, terpenes, and chlorophyll. Many of our customers enjoy the bold, earthy taste of our full-spectrum, unflavored tincture. If you find the taste or smell unappealing, consider mixing the unflavored tincture with some yogurt, a fruit smoothie, ice cream, or your favorite recipe to mask the earthy flavor of the unflavored tincture. You could also try one of our flavored CBD Oils instead.

On efficacy: remember, everyone’s experience with CBD varies and there is no one guaranteed or normal reaction. Some only need a small amount while others prefer a larger amount. Keep in mind that CBD is a unique and may not be effective for some users’ specific goals.
